lenovo integrated webcam is not working

I recently dual booted my windows Lenovo s340 with Ubuntu , cheese usually worked sometimes . Now it stopped working completely . "No Device Found" is prompted when i open cheese. I tried clicking fn+cam(f8) , but still its not working . tried command-(sudo modprobe -r uvcvideo && sudo modprobe uvcvideo) too . can anyone help please?
