Profile management/folder redirection/roaming profile/home directories

Hello,

I've joined a business that has requested that I look into a solution for our Development team that use 22.04. The developer each has their own VM hosted on vcenter and the issue is that if they want to move to a new machine or their own breaks, we dont have a solution for making the profiles/home directories follow the users.

is there a way to set this up with a central management solution or easy configuration per machine? Other than these Ubuntu servers we have a Windows infrastructure.
the business is growing so we may end up hiring more developers so a simple solution would be the best as the majority of the team that support the infrastructure have little/no Linux experience (including myself).
