Symptoms
  • When a reseller or customer tries to create a subscription or change an IP address, the following error is shown:

Error: Unable to create a subscription: the IP pool is empty.

  • The following error is shown upon the attempt to create a subscription on Plesk Multi Server:
There are no service nodes ready for subscription provisioning.

  • Unable to set Hosting Type to Website at Plesk > Domains > example.com > Hosting Settings. The following error is shown:
Internal error: no service node specified.

Cause
  • There are no free IP addresses allocated to a reseller.
  • There is no shared IP address at Plesk > Tools & Settings > IP addresses.
Resolution
To make it possible for a reseller or customer to create subscriptions, do one of the following actions as a Plesk administrator:

1.Log into Plesk.

2.Go to Tools & Settings > IP addresses > your_ip_address and make it Shared.

Note: if Plesk Multi Server is used, do the same for all service nodes.

Add an additional dedicated IP address to the server if a dedicated address required.

Note: if required, go to Resellers/Clients > John Doe > IP Addresses - Add IP Address.
