simple scan not working

Good day. Since I have upgraded to Beaver Bionic 18 simple scan stopped working for samsung printer SCX-3405F. The printer is fine. On scan it says drivers are missing. I tried loading drivers, made no difference. I use a laptop HP with a usb cable to printer. I want to use printer to scan. Please help. Thanks Graham
