Made new user, got the wrong username

I created an account today. It made me first create an UbuntuOne account, and all went well. Then I logged in here using that account, but instead of giving me the username I had chosen the name displayed here on the forums automatically turned into the first part of my email. I do NOT want this. I want the username I picked for UbuntuOne: minidus, but I can't change this myself yet so I would appreciate if someone could help me with this issue.
