external USB drive connecting randomly

Hi mates,

Have an external usb drive, not automounted. Have noticed occasionally, at random, my Jellyfish connects with this drive, not at my request either explicitly or implicitly.

Is this normal? Alternatively can this be an indication that someone is trying to compromise my computer through internet?
Have reasons to be suspicious.
