Steam related problem involving the EA App and Proton.

Yes I have this problem where anytime there's a Sims 4 update, The game won't run no matter what. It normally starts by reading these Vulkan drivers and then the EA App, but after each update it will read only the Vulkan drivers and never load the EA App and thus, the program, Sims 4 will never start up and run. So the easiest way is to uninstall the proton files and force a reinstall. Does anyone know how to do this? These online guides tell me to delete folder paths that are completely different on my Xubuntu desktop. I'm sure it's version 22.
