Permanently disable keyboard backlight on System 76 Oryx Pro

I'd like to disable the keyboard backlight on a System 76 Oryx Pro. There is a keychord which does this (Fn+Keypad-*), so any way of finding out what command a key chord is running would be even more useful than the exact command for this purpose.
