Launcher Error: Unable to open archive file

I am a first time wine user and installed via the Ubuntu 20.04 repository.

When i try to run an '.exe' file using: wine XXXXX.exe

I get a pop-up window from Wine that says - Launcher Error: Unable to open archive file

Has anyone experienced this before?
