Hey all, I don't have much experience with Linux and decided to install Ubuntu on my iMac, seeing as how macOS got slow and I was unable to open more than 6 browser tabs at a time without the system slowing down.
But in all fairness, it has lasted me since I bought back in 2015 and I feel I can get more mileage out of this by switching to Linux.

Getting to my question, after installing the latest release of Ubuntu and solving whatever problems it threw at me, I am left with only one issue and that is audio quality.
Compared to how the audio sounded on macOS, it now suddenly sounds odd on Ubuntu and I don't know why.

The sound is as if the audio file being played is of low quality even though it isn't
I installed PulseEffects thinking I can change the different parameters manually to make it sound better, but I simply couldn't as the app has far too many options/variables.
Any help to make the audio on my system sound better would be appreciated

P.S Imagine how phone calls sounded before cell phones, that's what I'm talking about
