Broadcom Drivers?

Hi. I'm a newbie to Linux, but I'm trying to get a old laptop set-up for wi-fi internet access. It's a HP DV5000.

I know I need to install drivers for the wi-fi built in board, as this is holding me back.

I know Broadcom are proprietory drivers, so they aren't in any distro.

Can anyone help?
