Sound Blaster x-fi Platinum front panel not working

Hi folks, hope everyone is safe and well.

I'm by no means a Linux top expert and I'm in need of help, some enlightenment at the very least.

So here's the situation:

- Running Kubuntu 22.04.2 on a Athlon 64 X2 5200+, 4 GB DDR2 800mt/s (yeah, a pretty decent legacy system)
- I have a Sound Blaster x-fi Platinum plugged in which works flawlessly, however its front panel does not work whatsoever.

I have tried checking alsamixer and could not find any entry for the headset or front panel.

Any ideas as to why it doesn't work? I can provide any further info if required, please let me know.
