How to get sound out Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

internal sound card no audio, got an USB sound adapter, does not recognize.

What would you recomend for audio out for desktop speakers ?
Budget is good, do not need a multi function box, simple
USB adadapter with 1/8" stero audio output.
