Minimize to the titlebar

I was watching a user whom I believe was using CentOS with an unknown version of Gnome but when he double clicked his title bar, the window minimized to the title bar but the title bar itself was still present on the screen. He has multiple windows up that resembled the same but the others were transparent if they weren't the selected window.

Is there a way to duplicate this in Ubuntu using any of the desktop environments available for Ubuntu or is it a feature already built in & I just haven't found it? Thanks for the insight.
