Ubuntu 22.04 and Sandy Bridge

So, I have an Intel Core I5 2410M Sandy Bridge Asus U56E laptop with 8GB Ram, and since I will be upgrading to a SSD, I was contemplating on whether to upgrade from Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon to Ubuntu 22.04.2 -- or should I move to Mint 21? Mint might be slightly less thirsty on resources, but I do like Gnome (had 22.04 on my other laptop before I sold it to plan a desktop build).
