terminal blocks

Hello,
I'm a noob that after a few months of distro hopping using virtual box I decided to install kubuntu on a real machine, for some reason every time I'm using the terminal it blocks when I'm asked my password, if I close the konsole I get a message "There is a process running in this window. Do you still want to quit? sudo dpkg". If I install new software with Discover I don't have any problems, I just type my password and it works.
Do you have any ideas?
