why isn't my ubuntu rendering my game

okey i play minecratf. and resent-lie switch to ubuntu. and when ever i play the game the fps performer is top notch but the world isn't rendering. it takes max 2 min or doesn't render at al. how do i make it work. i am new to this linux stuff help
