Does Ubuntu change BIOS

I have Ubuntu 20.04 installed on my HDD but as the HDD is so large I decided to install Windows 7 and after that install Ubuntu beside it.When I tried to install Win 7 I get this message. " The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant"
What does that mean and how do I install anything ?
