STATA license with UBUNTU upgrade

I am running STATA 14.1 Special Edition on Ubuntu 15.04. I am considering updating my Ubuntu to 15.10, and I am wondering whether this also implies losing my STATA license? It's a license via my institution which is theoretically valid until 2017.
