Where are new devices?

The official phone and tablet web pages say the devices are out of stock. I emailed BQ about this and they told me that they don't have plans to refill the stock. Meizu hasn't answered me yet. Are there new phones and tablets in the works? Where can one read about rumors?

I'm working on replacing my Apple stable (Macbook, iPad, iPod) with Ubuntu devices. The desktop/laptop is easy. Next priority is the iPod. I need a pocket device to allow me to easily carry around my calendar, contacts and connect to my hotspot, sync. One of the Ubuntu phones would be good, if it can sync with the Ubuntu desktop apps.

I don't want to use any cloud services. I don't use Google and I need to get off of Apple's. I don't want any of those corporations to have my data.
