I need to upgrade my system drive, home and other partitions in the drive.

I am trying to follow advice given to me to buy an SSD drive and then put it into a metal enclosure as an external drive linked by a usb3 socket in the desktop computer. I can not work out the compatibility between the SSD drive and the metal enclosure.

I have been considering 2 Samsung ssd drives:
1. Samsung 980 1 TB PCIe 3.0 (up to 3.500 MB/s) NVMe M.2 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-V8V1T0BW) ie Nand

2. Samsung 980 1TB PCle 3.0 NVMe SSD919/9709 ie Not Nand

Firstly which is a better buy? They are about the same price.

Next is the problem of getting a USB enclosure that will accept the recommended drive:

This drive on EBAY looks ok but they have conditions and I can not understand them or workout if both match their conditions or only one:

This portable M.2 NGFF SATA SSD enclosure is designed to hold a B-Key of size 2230/2242/2260/2280 NGFF PCIe SSD, turning it into a portable USB 3.1 External drive. Slim size, tool-free design, no drivers required. Two types of USB cables are provided: A USB to USB type-C and a USB Type-C to Type-C.

Please Note: this enclosure is for B-Key or B+M Key 'NGFF' factor M.2 SSD only, not suitable for 'NVMe' factor. They look similar but based on different system buses so aren't cross-compatible. We have NVMe enclosures in stock, please check this listing instead: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/403829772131

For example the size they mention 2230/2242/2260/2280 is not mentioned in the offers I listed above.

Can anyone please clarify the position for me.
