steps to install a windows program in ubuntu 23.04

I installed hplip. When i ran it i received messages that dependencies were not installed. 2 of them couldn't be installed. So I have a cd for instalation of hp printer which was written for windows. I tried using Winetricks but it failed. Any help would be appreciated. Thx
