Playstation 2 surprises me

I did not think a playstation 2 emulator would work on my aging system, it's an HP Intel Core i5 vpro with 16gigs ram and ssd. I wander if it will work just as good on my i3 HP laptop with about 12 Gigs ram.

Anyways, I thought it would not play smoothly, but it does. Using PCSX2 emulator from Synaptic soft. manager.

I wander how far I can push my system in emulation. I don't see a Playstation 3 emulator (or higher) in the depositories. Any opinion on that? Perhaps use Wine to emulate a PS 3 or even higher...

Thoughts ?
