Problem with the external mic (MacBook)

A few weeks ago I installed Ubuntu 20 on my MacBook Pro. The truth is that it works great, but I have a small problem: the external microphone does not work for me. As is known, Macs have the same Jack input for headphones and microphone. The thing is that when I plug in the microphone, Ubuntu recognizes it as a headphone. The same thing happens if I connect a headset with a microphone: it recognizes the headset, but not the microphone.


On the web I have found some solutions, such as modifying the alsa-base-conf file or trying pavucontrol. The latter recognizes the microphone but says that it is not connected.


Anyway. If anyone has an idea, it would be great for me.
