cannot change language while renaming file or folder under xorg

Hello,

checking Lunar and Kudu, both releases do not support changing either file or folder language using keyboard shortcuts under xorg, unless space button is used.
By going to settings->keyboard->View and Customize Shortcuts->Typing:
I cannot use any other combination but space button with others.

I can change language using the Alt+Shift e.g. in a browser, yet not under files or folders. This happens both under ubuntu xorg and flashback.
