Is something getting buggy with Software Updater?

Software Updater is acting strange on two computers this morning. On one, it wanted to do a partial upgrade (which is almost always a mistake), and on the other computer, it just says that about a gig worth of updates are available but doesn't show those updates. I also saw a post this morning from several other people who got the partial upgrade message, did the upgrade, and lost GDM.

Is something going on with the repositories? I'm inclined to hold off upgrading anything for the next few days to see if it's fixed.
