I am writing this thread because I am experiencing screen flickering whenever I boot into Ubuntu. This is my first time trying to use a Linux operating system. What happens is that I can would get green lines randomly popping into my screen (they do not fill the whole screen) and the positioning and timing is random, then my monitor would not detect any input for a few seconds, then my screen will act normal again and then the cycle repeats. On Windows 10, this rarely happens. This only happens with a random chance when I haven't touched my computer in a long time and I move my mouse to turn the computer on. This also happens when I boot into a bootable USB, and this does not happen when I select Safe Graphics Mode. If it helps, I also get this issue in the CentOS 7 installer.
