Question: How to use PHP-FPM with Nginx in Plesk


Applicable to:

• Plesk for Linux

Symptoms

• PHP handler FPM application served by Nginx is not available at Plesk > Domains > example.com > PHP Settings
• However is enabled at Plesk > Tools & Settings > PHP Settings

Cause

nginx is not installed or not activated on the server.


Resolution

nginx is usually disabled, or even not installed, then it is required to:

1.Log in to Plesk

2.Check if nginx is installed in:

Plesk > Tools&Settings > Updates and Upgrades > Add or Remove components > Web Hosting.

Note: Install it if it is not installed

3.Activate nginx service in:

Plesk > Tools&Settings > Service Management > Reverse proxy service (nginx) > Start
