Question: Domain hosted in Plesk showing blank page: PHP handler is corrupted


Applicable to:

• Plesk for Windows
• Plesk for Linux

Symptoms

• Plesk hosted website shows a blank page
• Its PHP handler is marked as corrupted in Tools & Settings > PHP Settings
• Trying to select this handler in Domains > example.com > PHP returns this error:

Unable to retrieve PHP settings because this handler is corrupted


Cause

The PHP handler has been corrupted. This can happen due to hardware or network failures during regular handler usage.


Resolution

Reinstall the PHP handler.

1.Log into Plesk

2.Temporarily set a different handler for the affected domain in Domains > example.com > PHP

3.Go to Tools & Settings > Updates > Add/remove components, and remove the corrupt PHP handler

4.Reinstall the PHP handler in the same way

5.Set the PHP handler back in the affected domain
