Question

How to change default index type for a domain in Plesk?

Answer

Note: If the options described are not available in Plesk GUI, contact the server's administrator or the hosting support.

Note: By default, the index order sets *.html with more priority than the *.php files.

                    For Plesk on Linux

1.Log in to Plesk GUI

2.Go to Domains > example.com > Apache & Nginx Settings > Check the option Enter custom value near Index files > Make all the required changes > Click OK to apply the changes:

1.Log in to Plesk GUI

2.Go to Domains > example.com > IIS Settings > Check the option Enter custom value near Default documents > Make all the required changes > Click OK to apply the changes:
