I am new here and seeking advice on how best to address the situation below.
We have a repo server that downloads updates from the main repository - "http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/"
What is happening now is that our antivirus, Mcafee is detecting malware in the updates/packages that is been downloaded from the main repo.
My concern is as follow
1. How do we ensure that the packages that are been downloaded is malware free considering that this is the main repository coming from Ubuntu?
2. Are there other recommended safe sources that we can get our updates from?
3. What are the best practices that we can adopt to avoid such situation?
We are currently running on Ubuntu 20.04.
