Title: Solved: How to view Dicom Xrays, quick'n easy...

Finally got the Xray viewer working in Scientific Linux 6.4, and in Ubuntu Studio 12.04..
In Synaptic or Software Centre installed "Aeskulap Viewer"..
Loaded Aeskulap-viewer to desktop.. Clicked "file>open".. Dragged the Dicom Xray file from desktop to open file.. Clicked open.. Works...
Made a screenshot of Xray.. Dragged screenshot into Gimp.. Changed it to jpg..


But, the Xray done with an old Xray camera which was modified to the new digital system was bout 50% to 70% poorer quality than the Xray done with a brand new modern Xray camera..
The old Xray camera is "garbage" compared to the quality of the newer cameras.. The old cameras should all be trashed and replaced, and maybe shipped to third world countries for free...

(can't find the "smiling skeleton" smiie..?)


Tip: To acquire a digital copy of your Xray, ask the MD to write you out an order to the radiologist who will be making your Xray, to "give the patient the Xray digital file copy on the patient-supplied flash drive..
If you ask for your Xray at radiology without the MD order, it could cost you $50+...
