Title: Imagemagick vs GIMP for batch image processing
Post by: kalpana on Nov 16, 2023, 03:51 AM
I do a lot of vector editing with Inkscape and end up needing to do batch processing of the images to change formats and mess with colors and stuff. I always have used Imagemagick for that when possible, but sometimes it doesn't behave like I want it to and I have to load up GIMP and process each individual image in a most tiresome manner. This may say more about by knowledge of Imagemagick than its capabilities, but I'm wondering if you think learning Scheme for GIMP scripting might be better for me? I already know elisp for emacs scripting, so it shouldn't be too big of a jump. Or would it be a better investment of time to learn more about using Imagemagick effectively?
