Title: Ubuntu Suggestions?
Post by: kalpana on Nov 08, 2023, 04:22 AM
Dear sirs and ladies!

If I may so suggest. I came from FreeBSD where some things did not work GUI-wise. But its a great system. Then from OpenBSD which I liked even more.

Then from OS X. I don't trust Screen sharing not being used for spying on us. Even OS X is not perfect, sometimes things just don't work but it's very rare.

Ubuntu works really great as a Desktop OS.

Is there any room for a OS version with apps with safe audited code. A version where yo have to pay a little every month or year?

As an alternative to SUSE and RedHat?

I think Ubuntu just works. But it could challenge OS X by being even better. Especially I love how well the admin accounts and user accounts work. Internet filtering works great with OpenDNS servers being used on the admin account. Almost as good as screentime which is great!

I would like to thank the Ubuntu developers for all their hard work. They've done a great job!
