Title: Trouble booting Ubuntu with ZFS
Post by: mahesh on Aug 08, 2023, 07:58 AM
Hey guys, fist time visitor, first time poster.

Recently my storage server running Ubuntu stopped working. Wouldn't boot. Tried a few times, nothing. It would just freeze. I pulled some drives, and it got into a busybody script or something, I don't recall the name. Anyhow, didn't boot. So I got a live USB going, and I googled around and found a Ubuntu boot fix. I ran it, I tried to let it auto fix, but it wouldn't, complained about my ZFS file system. So I ran it again and got this pastebin. It's almost 3000 lines, and I don't know how to make it not giant. So here's the link.

So I came here, made an account, and saw y'all had another script to run. So I ran it. It's also long, so here's the link.

So yeah. Any help?

I think this issue came after doing an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade a few night ago, but went unnoticed until yesterday. I also saw a similar post on here, but he was suggested to check his BIOS and ensure it was on EUFI mode. I've done that, and yup, it's on EUFI mode. Bios shouldn't have changed at all since it was running fine last.

Thanks for any and all help you can give.
