Title: Minecraft Launcher not showing on desktop (MATE), but visible as a process!
Post by: mahesh on Nov 03, 2023, 07:15 AM
Hi All, I am running Ubuntu MATE:

Installed the original Mindecraft.deb file from Minecraft.net. Have Java from Oracle installed. Nvidea drivers installed and working well in other games via Lutris.

When I click the Minecraft Launcher via the Menu > Games > Minecraft Launcher, nothing seems to happen. But when i check the processes running on my PC via MATE System Monitor, i can see minecraft-launcher process running, but it has a Sleeping status, and a do_wait Waiting Channel. And a child process which is Running with a 0 Waiting Channel.

I checked the four available MATE desktops to see if Minecraft was running on one of them, but thats not the case.
Is there a way to get the minecraft-launcher out of this Sleeping status? Or is there an other issue maybe?

Thanks in advance!
