I an able connect using wifi to my phone as a personal hotspot. But when I try to connect to the inter net through my in-home router, i continue to get the error message: "Connection Failed Activation of Network Connection failed." I have tried several things but the signal is excellent and the modem recognizes the 2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz available networks. There is nothing wrong with the internet signal or the internet since I am connecting to it on another laptop and even on m phone if I test it. WIred connection is fine on iMac. I have looked on the net for solutions but am at a loss to figure it out. My internal modem is a Broadcom 4321 I believe. This is an iMac around 2008 model I think. Forgot to add that this is a new install, totally Ubuntu, not dual boot.
