Title: DisplayPort to HDMI on Ubuntu 22.04
Post by: kalpana on Oct 16, 2023, 04:11 AM
I was wondering if anyone uses a DisplayPort to HDMI cable? If so, is there any advantage to doing this?

There was some concern about some HDMI RGB issues with older drivers causing it to think it's a TV instead of outputting full RGB, but I was unsure if this is a non issue with Ubuntu 22.04+.

Under Linux Mint 20.3 and my 10 year old Asus Intel Core I5 laptop using HDMI, everything works fine with my Samsung HDMI curved monitor. I wonder if Intel already corrects for this....
