WhatsApp for Linux - installed from snap store - won't let me copy any images out of it. I can paste into it fine, but Ctrl+C results in pasting just the image address (blob) in the destination document.
The situation is: my wife's iMac desktop was having issues with the OS, after spending hours on the phone with Apple support, I said "F it", and installed Windows. Which ran slow as molasses. So I installed Ubuntu. Which is flying.
But now we discovered this, pretty much game-breaking, problem.
Instead of being able to quickly collect images from WhatsApp (sent in by our associates) and putting them into Google Docs, now we have to save image, name image, switch to Google Drive, Insert, Image, Into Cell, [wait], Browse, Home... it's a lot longer and much more annoying.
I understand this is a security measure designed to prevent malicious bots/etc from breaking out of the WhatsApp container, but I need it to work just like it did on Windows/Android. We're using it for work, and it's a giant hassle to suddenly spend 10x more time on an operation we have to do 100s of times a day.
I need to make WhatsApp Linux work exactly the same way as it did on IOS and Windows... heeeeelp!
How can I fix this?
