Howdy!
I'm new to Linux but been having a blast for the last few months. Last night I ran the Ubuntu updater that updates drivers and apps but when I restarted I was met with this error on startup: https://imgur.com/bWbJIT7
UCSI_ccg 0-0008: Failed to get FW build information
I can get in via recovery and that works but not normal boot. So I troubleshooter all last night:
- Reinstalled biking everything both windows and Ubuntu.
- Reloaded Bios optimized defaults
- Rebuilt the Bootloader(GRUB)
- Was on 23.04 reinstalled to 22.04.2. This still caused the error but if I waited long enough the OS still starts.
- I attempted to blacklist that ucsi_ccg clearly did not work (Though I think I'm doing this wrong.)https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxquesti...eb2x&context=3
I can install Ubuntu the first time, in it's fine it's after I restart it comes back. It all started after an update so I think the OS works until it's updated?
I don't have an Nvidia GPU I have an RX 7900 XT using Displayport 1.4b. Any help would be great.
